Sunday October 14th @ Mission Rock
Colette’s forthcoming release, Push (Om Records, Sept. 25). The album is Colette’s second artist album and marks the close of an exciting chapter in Colette’s life that included gracing the stage at Coachella, performing at E!’s televised Grammy party, seeing her single (“What Will She Do For Love?”) reach #1 on Billboard’s dance music chart and also having her music prominently featured in the hit movie “The Devil Wears Prada.” For those of you that have followed Colette’s career it likely comes as no surprise that she has become arguably the most predominant female DJ worldwide. Her schedule often places her on three continents in the span of one week as demand for appearances continues at a break neck pace. Already her summer schedule boasts stops in Shanghai, Sao Paulo and Tokyo; all this while maintaining her Smart Bar residency in her original hometown of Chicago and a life in Los Angeles. A woman in the middle of one of the most ego-centric musical genres, Colette has earned the respect of countless DJs both on her own and as part of the female SuperJane collective. She went on to host LA mega-station KIIS-FM’s “Maximum Rotation,” appeared in TV spots for the Motorola “HelloMoto” ad campaign and released numerous mix albums and singles. Embracing what ruled her stereo as a teenager, Push is a mix of pop melodies, electro beats and of course, Colette’s unmistakable vocals.
